The rooms are spacious, and have all the amenities you'd expect to see, including a nice shower. The staff was very friendly, and someone was always nearby when needed. The restaurant is a little small, but they have a good selection of Indian and continental foods items.a great weekend getaway from Chennai or Bangalore. Calve Heritage Hotel, Pondicherry:

A Chettinad home converted into a hotel is such a thrilling thought. However, reality is a bit different. Rooms & bath are clean and functional. Dinners are great value-for-money. But overall service levels are supremely average. The staff is unable to process multiple orders at breakfast, resulting in inevitable delays.
